Air Switch Installation Recommendations
The Eniscope Air Switch is a LoRa enabled semiconductor switch for control and measurement of single phase loads up to 20 amps. There are few recommendations that should be considered before installing the Air Switch.
1) Avoid extremes of temperature and/or humidity beyond published limits.
- Operating Temperature between -30 to +40°
- 1000 M – De-rate 1% per additional 100 M
2) Voltage rating of the unit correspond with the input voltage.
- 100 – 277 VAC -10%/+6% (internally fused)
3) There are no loose parts or objects within the unit.
4) Enough space exists to correctly install the unit
5) Allow 100 mm clear space above and below the unit to allow natural convection airflow over the heat sink.
6) Ensure the unit is not mounted near any heat source such as a refrigeration condenser coil.
7) Mount the unit in the vertical plane as shown below to allow natural convection to occur. Failure to so do may invalidate the warranty.
Figure 1.1
- Figure 1 shows the ideal mounting method and will allow continuous operation at unit rating.
- If mounted as Figure 2 the unit must be de-rated by 50% to a maximum load of 10 amps.
- Mounting as Figure 3 is not allowed.
8) Installers are recommended to use ferrules and long nose players, to avoid broken due to not using it. (As this will help during the installation of the cables)
