Air Switch: Commissioning Sheet Walkthrough

Air Switch: Commissioning Sheet Walkthrough

The Commissioning Sheet is a tool to;

  1. Record Information about the Air Product in a centralized & uniform manner
  2. Act as a double-check for the Installation
  3. Ensure all functions are working as expected under guided tests
  4. Record any subtle peculiarities about the installation

Each Commissioning Sheet is separated by Pages, with each page having a series of related sections where information will be recorded or verified. Below, each Page will be listed explaining the type of data collected within it as well as in-depth explanations of some of the more complicated entries.

Air Switch Information Check

This Page contains all of the information relevant to the individual Air Switch: Where it is installed, what Eniscope is it associated with, Device Address, etc.

Air Switch Name

In order to help remove confusion, we suggest to use the following naming convention:

Location - Air Switch Temp=Name

Location will need to be replaced with a brief description of where the Air Switch is installed. For example, if it is in the kitchen controlling cooking equipment, then "Fryers" or "Prep Island" will work.

Name will only need to be replaced if any temperature probes connected to the Air Switch. If not, then the entire 'Temp=Name' section can be omitted. Otherwise, replace Name with whatever the temperature proper is monitoring. For example: If monitoring a Walk-In Fridge, then "Walk-in" will suffice.

Photo of Power Supply

In case of a critical failure of the Air Switch, having photos of where it is connected to the power can be handy if it needs to be quickly by-passed in order to resume typical operation of equipment. These photos should clearly show the Air Switch & where it is getting power.

System Details

This is where the information on how the Switch is connected to the equipment is captured. This provides enough information of the connected equipment to assist in diagnosing some issues related to loss of power to the controlled equipment.

Installation Checks

This page acts as a means to double-check all critical aspects of the installation, as well as ensuring that there are no exposed or loose wires. Temperature Probe and PIR sensor data is also recorded here.

There are many questions requesting photos. These need to be taken to show as much of the surrounding area as possible.

Software Checks

This Page ensures that the Switch is properly associated with the Eniscope and has been fully registered on Admin. This is critical as this page also covers the On/Off test to ensure that the Switch is installed & associated with no issues.

On/Off Test

This test requires you to access the Function page of Admin V2 and setup some Forced Action Functions. These are simple functions to setup, and the actions needed will be used in later Functions.

2 Actions will need to be setup: One to Turn the Switch on, and another to Turn the Switch off. Once these are setup, create a Function with only the Turn the Switch On action.

Once created, save the Function then publish all Functions to the Eniscope. Depending on internet speed/connection, this can take some time, but the equipment connected to the Switch should turn on. Any issues will need to be noted at the bottom of the page.

Once the equipment has been forced on, you will need to go back into the Force State Function and change the action from Turn On Switch to Turn Off Switch.

Once again, save & publish this function to the Switch. The equipment should turn off.

Verification Sign Off

This is the final page of the Commissioning. Both the names of the individual who installed the Air Sense as well as the one performing the Commissioning will need to be recorded here. Then the sheet will need to be signed off by whomever did the commissioning as a final confirmation that everything was recorded accurately and all issues have been corrected before leaving the site.
